“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Since 1907, God has been using First Baptist Church to spread His love in Junction City. Almost 13 years ago, we followed God by stepping out in faith to build and move to our current location. Since moving into our new building, we have seen God transform more lives and spread His love throughout the county in powerful ways.
Now we are embarking on the next chapter of our journey. We have the light of Christand we are on a mission to light up Junction City, Lane County, and the world in His Name. To see this happen, we believe we must invest in our future generations and our city that they may passionately KNOW, SHOW, and SHARE Christ’s love.
One way we're doing this is by stepping up to Fortify in Faith (Phase 1) the blessing we have in our current building. What this means is that we are intentionally making strides to finish our investment. Over the last few years our church body has boldly and creatively raised funds to make this happen. We are in the midst of this phase and eagerly await crossing the finish line.
Then, we will look toward Extending the Blessing(Phase 2). This will be a blessing to future generations through an activity center that can be utilized by both our youth and the community. It will also include a welcoming and accessible office space for our staff and those they shepherd.
1) Pray: We serve a big God "who is able to who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine" (Ephesians 3:20-21). As a church, we are trusting Him to provide all we need to fulfill the mission He has called us to. Please pray for our leaders, our future, and that Christ's love would continue to be known in everything we do.
2) Pledge: Please prayerfully consider how God might work through your generosity to help see God's Kingdom grow in our community. We are asking the entire church family to find the unique response God has given each of us to make. This effort cannot be accomplished by just a few donors. Rather, we hope to involve every family and member of FBCJC in this endeavor; we are all stewards of what God has entrusted to each of us.
